Terms of use

A clear agreement for a thoughtful space.

These terms describe how to use A Quiet Friend safely and what you can expect from the service.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

What A Quiet Friend is

A Quiet Friend is an AI companion for everyday mental wellbeing. It can help you reflect, organize thoughts, explore options and keep context when you choose to allow that.

It is not a replacement for professional mental-health care, medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency services.

Using the service safely

Use A Quiet Friend lawfully and do not attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with the service, or use the service to harm others.

If you may be at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can be with you. A Quiet Friend may surface crisis resources, but cannot provide emergency response.

Accounts, plans and payments

You are responsible for keeping account access secure. Paid-plan terms, renewal timing and cancellation options are shown before payment and are handled through the configured payment provider.

Safety resources and high-risk support flows are not restricted by plan level.

AI responses

AI can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for a particular situation. Consider important decisions carefully and seek qualified professional support where appropriate.

A Quiet Friend does not promise clinical outcomes, diagnosis, treatment or uninterrupted availability.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected by the updated date. Contact the A Quiet Friend team at info@aquietfriend.com with questions.
